More quilts in the windows

I tried to have a nap but more exploring won the day! I found more shops that had quilt displays in their windows and some were very creative. You will see a red, black and white quilt with matching outfit in the men's wear shop, then there is a liquorice all sorts quilt in the lolly shop and a jade style quilt in the jade jewellery shop. I loved the shoe shop quilts - complete with antique sewing machines and shoe and embroidery notions - thank you Taupo traders for supporting the Symposium. It has been such a delightful way to walk the streets.........

I stopped for lunch and ordered a chicken and avocado sandwich. I asked if it could be toasted and the fellow serving me looked aghast and informed me it was an open sandwich.....Oh well I said - that will do and wow - I was not disappointed!.....
I got a better view of the snow on the mountains this afternoon......

This is one of the backpacker accommodation complexes.....
And this is for you Larry....I stopped to watch this guy and he did say he was bewildered as to how on earth you could actually see where your ball ends up!!.....

I watched him swing several balls and neither of us could see where on earth they went....out in the ocean somewhere and then a diver goes in to retrieve them at some stage....bbbbrrrrrr!
I probably should be socialising with the other tutors tonight but I am still tired, so instead I am snuggled down with a sandwich and the 2011 Jane Eyre movie on TV (yeh!)....it is only 6pm but feels like 10 so might have an early night.
Till next time.......
